Blessed first day of December girls! If you are just now joining us, welcome! There is nothing quite like the community of believing sisters to join in with in committing scripture to memory... our intentions may begin well, but more often than not, our good intentions become marginalized as our day to day looms larger in our sight. Knowing that we have sisters that are committed to seeing this year through in victory and who meet faithfully together twice monthly can be of great encouragement in our own walk of faith. My memory verse for these first two weeks of December may seem short in length, however, it is the depth of the power of the reality that jumped off the pages of Scripture, that has taken captive my heart. Already, the power of this Truth is ministering to me...
He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:17
NASB
HI Cathie,
ReplyDeleteHere is my verse for Dec 1st.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility ,meekness and patience.
Colossians 3:12
This is pertaining to the fruit of the Spirit of gentleness, something we as Christians are lacking in speaking to unbelievers.

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and we are. For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Whenever I read this phrase in scripture it speaks to my heart "His loving kindness and His truth".
ReplyDeleteMy 5th verse is:
Psalm 86:15 - NASB
"But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth."
Sally
PS - Margaret - maybe it needed to be said 3 times.

ReplyDeleteLove is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends
