"... we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast..."
Hebrews 6:18-19
This verse is resonating within my heart this week and I wanted to share it with you this morning!
Hebrews 6:18-19
This verse is resonating within my heart this week and I wanted to share it with you this morning!
It is contained within the context that we can have complete assurance in God's promises, because He cannot lie, and in God's oaths, because He cannot change.
The unchanging Word of God... the unchanging Person of God.
I love the time phrase and visual aspect of these verses,
those of us who have taken Refuge now have Hope set before us,
and we are strongly encouraged to now take hold of that Hope!
This Hope is an Anchor of our very souls.
Listen, if just plain living on planet earth didn't have the incredible ability to whip our souls around from time to time like some small row boat on a raging sea, then God would never have set us up with an Anchor for our souls... He knows that we are in desperate need!
Our puny and fleshly oars are of no spiritual good during a soul tossing storm.
our soul Anchor... Christ Himself!
The Anchor of our soul Who holds us in perfect peace in the stormy seas of life.
The storms of life most assuredly will rage,
But our Anchor is both Sure and Steadfast...
so go ahead and drop Anchor girls,
we will not be moved!
we will not be moved!

The Lord has sure been my anchor this last month as you know Cathie, how great is the Father's love for His children .
