Just want to make sure you received my e-mail saying it is a go for me. I realize I have missed several classes for which I am sorry. However, I was not able to get there . I have been doing my homework though. Tuned into the lesson for today – thank you for that. Appreciated hearing the discussion re the answers but find it difficult keeping up without the drawing board. My loss! Plan to be there next week and the following one. The book for next session must be a big one. I will do my best to keep up with it. Even though I am having struggles with the lessons lately I am so thankful I have been in this class as I have benefited in so many ways. The Bible has become much more precious to me. I see things more clearly. I feel like another veil has been removed and I have stepped into a fuller understanding and appreciation of the marvel of our Lord and His Word. I have been blessed! Hi Marlene! So delighted to hear that despite the struggles that Bible Study can bring, that you are faithfully persevering and being blessed! That's the promise that Jesus has given us and you are a definite recipient of it! You are such an encouragement. I hope you don't mind that I posted your words here in The Gathering Place to mightily encourage the other girls as well! And yes, dear heart, your workbook has been ordered, bless you Marlene!
I had many WOW and AHA moments while working on my study last night. I was feeling very draggy and thought I would only spend a short time on it and 2 1/2 hours later I was still going strong. The Day 2 lesson, Jeremiah 31, was difficult for me but I went back to read Jer. 30 and 31 doing alot of cross referencing and I felt like God had opened up both my mind and my heart. I have always struggled to understand the prophetic books, without much success but last night I felt understanding flow into me. Then going on into Hebrews I felt like I understood things better because of the work I had done in the OT books.
I was elated when I finished with a song of praise in my heart. God is so great and His plans are so good! I am beginning to see God's big story from Genesis onwards.
I'm sure I have many more things to learn and understand but last night was soooooo exciting to me! Love and hugs IN HIs Glorious Name, Jan
