Hello girls! I'm hoping that you are enjoying somewhat of a relaxing interlude between the Christmas season activities and the anticipation of the coming New Year. I thank you for your prayers regarding the tests that I had taken prior to Christmas... the bottom line is... I am a VERY healthy girl that just needs to make a few changes.
As I have been prayerfully considering this upcoming New Year, Zechariah 4:6 has spoken deeply to me... " 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says The LORD of hosts."

As with most things, whenever you make personal changes, those changes tend to have a ripple effect and in turn touch others and change other things! Now, because I believe that these changes have been made by the counsel of His Spirit I have no other thought than... "LORD, it is ALL good!"
Beginning in February, our weekly classes will begin PROMPTLY at 9am with a 45-60 minute DVD teaching followed by an hour for class discussion and homework review. In order to be women who honour the time, we will close the class in prayer at 11am.
I spoke with Cat last night and am delighted that she has become a willing accomplice in the changes that will directly effect the Bible Study. A few months ago it became quite apparent that the LORD was leading me to come alongside Cat and help her 'fan into flames' the gift that God has placed within her. The beautiful and refreshing thing about the gifts of God is that while they have been given to accomplish the purpose that God has intended, the out-working of those gifts is never intended to be cookie cutter representations of one other.
Cat will be taking the class the last Thursday of each month which will in turn allow me to continue the counselling/mentoring of the young women that the LORD has been bringing for me to minister to in this particular season.

As we enter into this upcoming New Year, let's purpose in our hearts, to have as our ambition, to be pleasing to Him (2 Cor. 5:9). Understanding that while we may plan on doing wonderful things... yet without scripturally based FAITH it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6). Let's purpose in our hearts to walk today and everyday by FAITH and not by sight! It's a 'full of wonder walk'!

Hi Cathie - are you planning on uploading the videos to your blog? Will I be able to study alongside y'all, but 'virtually'? If so, I'm in! What is the cost of the book?
ReplyDeleteSorry Cathie, one more question! Based on the style of this study, if someone misses part 1, will it make sense for them to join in for part 2, 3, etc, or does it only work when you commit from the beginning? I'm just wondering about newcomers.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, the cost of the workbooks are: Part One 22.50, Part Two 27.00, Part Three 24.50, Part Four 31.75, these prices DO NOT yet reflect the postage and handling which will be determined once all the orders are in.
ReplyDeleteWhile this particular study WILL NOT be offered as an audio class study it can still be done and fellowship maintained through the weekly comments and questions here in The Gathering Place Bible Study Room for those that are wanting to participate in that way.
And while it is ALWAYS advisable to begin a course at the beginning and faithfully see it through to it's completion, I would never say no to someone coming in at mid-point simply because... they'll be in His Word!
