Hi Girls! I hope that you will enjoy the Gathering Room Cafe and make yourself at home, the doors are always open for you to pop in at any time and find fellowship and encouragement from one another.
Pull up a chair... your sisters should be arriving soon!
Thanks Cathie for setting this all up. I know I'm going to enjoy this cafe - look forward to getting to know everyone better as we get to know our Lord better.
As good as this is it's not as good as being face to face - so until we can be together again please picture a big HUG from all of us. You and your family continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you Sally... I've thanked God so many times for every single one of my sisters and your prayers laid before the throne of God on my family's behalf. I fully intend to be there on Thursday sweetheart... so I'll see you there. Now away I go into this precious day that the Lord has made...
What a delight to find the gathering place taking shape and all prepared for us. Thanks so much, Cathie. I appreciate it. I look forward to seeing everyone in person on Thursday. Linda
We missed you today, and pray that God's healing hand might be on you all. It was great to have Linda there after her time spent with her sister. and we all look forward very much to having you back with us.
I missed all of you as well, I was all prepared to come and I am sure that Linda was able to explain my absence. I have no doubt that with all of your input and sharing the the classes have been wonderful... too bad that they haven't been taped so that I can have the joy of listening in!
I thank each of you for your love and prayers... looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
I'm in....thanks Cathie..it works. I can now go into Pure Grace and click on the Gathering Place and voila...there you are :). It was so nice to talk with you this morning and I look forward to sitting in your/His class on Thursday...
Hey Girls! I just dropped in for a visit and to get me some good fellowship.., make sure you give me a shout out when you get here and we can pull our chairs together and have a bit of a 'chin wag'!
Hi Cathie, I just finished baking cookies, made myself a coffee and sat down for a chat... emmm, let me see....where to begin.I am overwhelmed well maybe overwhelmed is not quite the word that I should use to describe the results of yesterdays class. I am in awe of God's goodness. I know He loves me but I will never understand the depth of His love and what He continues to do with me and for me in my journey with Him. The "I get its" were at one time almost quiet realizations of Who He is. In the past few months those "I get it" moments have intensified and I am brought to tears. Tears of joy and gratitude I don't even have the words to express my gratitude and all I seem to be able to get out is thank you Lord. There is so much going on in my head seems to be swirling or is that my mind?????. Each step of my journey with Him brings me to a new level of understanding and He meets me just where I am. Now I truly believe He is "tilling" me, I love that. I know that it (tilling) started out with a totally different meaning than I interpreted........ I love that He is in control. It sure takes the pressure off. I often recall our windup at Linda's a few summers back and we were talking about being "self sufficient"...what a turn around in my way of thinking....another freeing moment..I have had many of those freeing moments and I am a new person in Christ....amen This person of few words does seem to be rambling on and on. So on that note I will close... Thank you Cathie, you are a blessing to all who know you and love you. Being "cracked pots" brings forth a beautiful design of Light in a dark world. Blessings dear sister XXX
Edna, to be in awe of God's goodness and to only be able to proclaim 'thank you Lord' is a beautiful place to be... from one 'cracked pot' to another may we continue to leak out all the goodness that God has placed within us... and you are welcome sweetheart, it is my pleasure to serve and enjoy my sisters.
Edna, by the way, thank for the cookie recipe! I just read the disclaimer notes on the bottom about the ears that might roll away... I am so hoping that these were the cookies that you made when you sat down with your coffee to chat with me here... it just tickles me to think that you would be nibbling the ears off of a teddy bear cookie between sips of coffee!
well, yes and no....the cookies I was nibbling on were the first batch in which I did not add all the flour it called for. Now this was not a conscience choice...I just forgot...therefore those little bears just spread out all over the pan joining one another in one big happy family.. They were still recognizable as bears but certainly lacked the character they were meant to have!!! SO this only left one thing to do...EAT all the mistakes, tough job but it needed to be done....and then start over!!! I will not be there this Thursday as we are heading over to the Island to celebrate Lana's birthday on the 23rd (42)and will spend 5 days with them. My last visit was before Christmas and I am looking forward to our quality time together. I will be able to join her on His street ministry on Friday a.m. as she shines His Light and connects with those who God sends her way. So blessings to you and all my sisters
It really was a teddy bear picnic... you got to eat all the teddy bears! Edna, I know that you always have such a wonderful time with Lana, tell her that she needs to come over here sometime and get to know some of the girl's that you hang with on Thursday mornings! We'd love to meet her!
Hi Cathie, You know how I have been trying to get a book about inductive Bible Study, and the bookstore in MR couldn't order it for whatever reason. Well, Wendy and I just came back from The House Of James! Funny thing is, I asked for help and explained what I was looking for,and the lady told me to wait for another guy to get in, he would know. So okay, but I looked around anyways, couldn't find anything! Went upstairs, wondered around with Wendy, blah blah blah. I went back down when the fellow got there, and he had a line of people waiting! So, I looked again, AND, sticking out of the shelf was The New How To Study Your Bible By Kay Arthur, and 2 other people. It was the only one, and I'd swear it was not there before. Weather it was or not, I couldn't see it. *lol* But I saw it the second time. See, I told you I'd find it by the time we were finishing Hebrews. *lol*
Hi Debbie! Better a little later than never! That book was just simply meant to be yours today... I haven't seen the new and improved edition, I'd love to take a peek at it sometime!
